July Recipe of the Month featuring Emile Henry


Grilling & Baking Stone

July is barbecue season and there’s no better way to take the heat out of the kitchen

than getting outside to cook!

 Emile Henry Baking/Grilling Stone is perfect for no-fuss grilling of meats, poultry, veggies, and this month’s recipe: Grilled Salmon.

The stone is designed to work on the barbecue (gas, charcoal, natural wood or electric) and in the oven or under the broiler up to 750°. A Baking/Grilling Stone turns your grill into an outdoor oven!


Grilled Salmon


1 lb Salmon Filet

2tsp. each lemon zest, pepper, minced garlic, sea salt

¼ cup each  soy sauce (low sodium)  brown sugar,  water,  olive oil


Place salmon in a shallow pan. Mix dry ingredients together and rub on the salmon.

Mix together the soy sauce, brown sugar, and olive oil. Pour over the fish. Cover and refrigerate for 2 hours.

Place Emile Henry Baking/Grilling Stone on barbecue. Preheat grill to medium heat. Lightly brush oil on stone before placing salmon on it . Cook salmon for 6 – 8 minutes per side or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.


Serve right on grilled stone! Just be sure to place it on a trivet or wooden board !

April Recipe of the Month

Try our Spring Quinoa Salad using our item of the month - Lekue Rice Cooker-


Fresh and Healthy is our recipe of the month 

Quinoa Salad with Avocado & Dried Apricots & Lemon-Cumin Vinaigrette  

Serves 4

1 cup quinoa ( rinse under cold water prior to cooking)

1 cup vegetable stock

1 cup water

3 tablespoon raisins

3 tablespoon dried apricots- chopped

1 large lemon and zest

3 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil

1/4 tsp. ground coriander,cumin and smokey paprika

2 medium avocado, pitted, peeled and sliced 

2 medium scallions finely chopped

3 tablespoons toasted pine-nuts or sliced almonds

salt and pepper to taste

Using Lekue rice cooker - Add quinoa, water, stock. Cook on 80% wattage in your microwave for 11 min.  Take out of microwave & toss. Let sit for 3 min.

Dressing : mix olive oil, juice from 1 lemon, all spices, 1scallion, salt & pepper to taste.  Blend using Prepara salad dressing mixer.

Add the remaining ingredients :1 green onion, apricots, raisins, toasted pine-nuts. Toss in sliced avocado. Sprinkle dressing on quinoa.  Salt & Pepper to taste. Serve

Quinoa is a supercharged grain! Full of antioxidants and high in nutrients with twice the calcium as whole wheat. This is a perfect food for gluten free diets.
